Our staff consists of our Executive Director, Ricci Neilson, BSW, and Case Services Coordinator, Chloe Hayes, for day to day operations.
We also have several volunteers and always welcome new volunteers with open arms.

Our Staff & Volunteers
Incorporated in 1951 by a group of concerned citizens, the Foundation has dedicated its efforts to those who face challenges in their lives. In 1958, lifelong Burlington citizen Edward B. Gnahn left his estate in trust for the Special Needs Foundation, enabling assistance for future generations.

Offer assistance to improve the health, welfare, rehabilitation, employment, education, recreation, and daily activities for children and adults with disabilities in Des Moines County, Iowa.
